Situated in beautiful New Forest countryside, the gardens and tea rooms are the perfect stop off for refreshments and a peaceful stroll.
We have free bike racks, covered seating and anybody who arrives on foot or bike gets an extra 10% off food and drink in the tea rooms.

Minstead walking routes
Minstead to Brook loop
Visit the Rufus Stone to discover the mystery surrounding the death of King William II. The route then follows quiet country lanes to the unspoilt village of Minstead where the famous detective writer and spiritualist Sir Arthur Conon Doyle is buried in the grounds of All Saints Church. Return via winding lanes and fields to Canterton and Brook.

Minstead and Furzey Gardens short stroll
New Forest gardens, with their massed rhododendrons and azaleas which grow so well on the Forest’s clay soils, are at their most beautiful in spring. This walk takes you to one of the loveliest, Furzey Gardens, where other sites include a 400-year-old cottage and thatched structures around the gardens. We start from Minstead, a Forest village which is mentioned in the Domesday Book as ‘Mintestede’ – the place where mint grows.
